For a first visit with no car, a coach day tour. The Niagara Falls day tour from Toronto leaves from ten pickup points in Downtown Toronto and Mississauga at about 8:00 am, gives you three to four hours at the falls and is back around 5:30 pm; the boat and Journey Behind the Falls are skip-the-line packages you add at booking. What is the best tour if I am already in Niagara Falls?
The premium small-group tour puts the Niagara City Cruises boat, Journey Behind the Falls and Skylon Tower into one afternoon with a guide and hotel pickup, from US$158. For a guide on foot instead of a bus, the boat and tunnels walking tour covers about 2 km between the viewpoints with Journey Behind the Falls admission, from US$68 (prices checked April 2026).
Can I just buy single attractions?
Yes. Skylon Tower’s observation deck gives the view of all three falls from 775 feet above the gorge; the Zipline to the Falls runs 670 metres down the gorge towards the Horseshoe Falls; the scenic helicopter flight flies over the three falls and the gorge, 12 minutes including boarding. Which tours run in winter?
The coach day tours, the premium tour, Skylon Tower and Journey Behind the Falls all run in winter; the boats do not. On the coach tours and the premium tour the boat is swapped for Journey Behind the Falls, Skylon Tower or Niagara Takes Flight, depending on the tour, until it sails again.
