What does the premium tour include?

A guide with live commentary, hotel pickup and drop-off, admission to Journey Behind the Falls and to the Skylon Tower observation deck, and the 20-minute Niagara City Cruises boat ride (the boat once called Hornblower) from May to December. Tips are not included. It started at US$158 a person when we checked in April 2026, with free cancellation and the option to reserve now and pay later; the cut-off shows at checkout.

What do you see along the way?

The day follows the Niagara Parkway: a scenic drive through the Dufferin Islands and past the International Control Dam, a photo stop at the Old Scow stuck in the rapids, the former Toronto Power Generating Station, about an hour at Journey Behind the Falls, 45 minutes up Skylon Tower, the Niagara Whirlpool, the Sir Adam Beck reservoir, the Floral Clock and the boat. Expect four to seven hours depending on the season and the lines.

What happens in winter, when the boat is not running?

From January to April the boat is replaced by Niagara Takes Flight, the flying-theatre ride about the falls and their history, and the rest of the day stays the same. In the shoulder months, phone the tour company ahead to confirm the boat: its first and last sailings depend on the weather. Our month-by-month guide has the 2026 boat seasons.

Where does pickup start?

Pickup depends on the option you book. Pickup is free from hotels in Niagara Falls, Canada; there is also a Toronto option from 120 Bremner Boulevard, in front of the Amazon sign, and drop-offs at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, in Niagara Falls and at 120 Bremner Boulevard. The tour company contacts you one to three days before with your exact pickup time; without a phone or email, be ready 30 minutes before the start time.

Does it go to the American side?

No. The tour stays in Canada. Is it worth it over buying the tickets yourself?

It depends on what you value. Journey Behind the Falls was CA$33.00 at the gate and the boat CA$47.95 plus tax in October 2026, and Skylon Tower’s deck is a separate ticket from US$17; the premium tour adds the guide, the transport between them, the Parkway stops and no separate ticket lines. Recent reviews keep naming the guides (Frank, Stephanie, Vinnie, Abin), praise the small group, and one October 2025 guest found the pace “a little bit rushed”.
