Is Skylon Tower worth it?

For the view, yes: it is the one place where you see the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls together from above, with the gorge and the river below. The deck sits 775 feet (236 metres) above the Niagara Gorge, and Skylon says visibility reaches about 125 km on a clear day, far enough to pick out the Toronto and Buffalo skylines. After dark you look down on the illuminated falls, and in the fireworks seasons (nightly at 10 pm from mid-May to mid-October, and at 8 pm on Festival of Lights nights in winter) on the fireworks too.

How much are Skylon Tower tickets?

This flexible-date ticket started at US$17 a person when we checked in April 2026, with free cancellation. It covers one entry, the ride up in the yellow exterior elevator (52 seconds) and the indoor and outdoor observation decks, with taxes and fees included. Children under four go free. You exchange the GetYourGuide voucher at the Guest Services desk in the main lobby.

When is the best time to go up?

The ticket has no set time: use it during opening hours within seven days either side of the date you booked, so you can wait for a clear day. From June to August, lines at the ticket booth and elevator build in the middle of the day; go before 11 am or after 3 pm. Sunset into the evening illumination is the most rewarding slot.

Is Skylon Tower in Canada or the US?

Is Skylon Tower the same as the CN Tower?

Can you eat at the top?

Yes, at your own expense: the Revolving Dining Room turns a full circle in an hour, and the Summit Suite Buffet is the casual option. Skylon includes free admission to the elevator and both observation decks with every dining reservation, so if you plan to eat there anyway, you do not need this ticket. Is it scary?

The elevator runs up the outside of the tower in a glass car, which is the part people talk about. One reviewer who is “deathly afraid of heights” wrote in August 2025 that the elevator host made it easy. If the outdoor deck feels too exposed, the indoor deck has the same view behind glass.
